Whitening press (concerning fluorisis aka white spots)?

I have mild fluorisis on my front tooth. (A white stain caused by antibiotics as a child). I am currently contained by my second day of using the Crest Whitestrips Premium Plus, and i was wondering if using them would even out the color difference between my teeth and the fluorisis.
Thank you to anyone who is taking the time to answer. =]

Fluorosis is a condition cause by 'excessive' intake of fluoride. Mild fluorosis is characterized by chalk-like discoloration of teeth with white spots or lines on tooth enamel.

Your problem is not caused by antibiotics. The use of reliable antibiotics such as tetracycline during childhood also causes tooth stains but they have brown-gray color.

If it is with the sole purpose a mild fluorosis, as you describe, whitening strips will help in on a winning streak the tooth appearance. Tooth whitening will not actually remove the white spots but it will lighten the rest of the tooth surface so that they decrease noticeable.

In cases of severe fluorosis tooth whitening is not recommended because the tooth enamel usually become porous, requiring treatment with composite bonding or veneers..
Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and untaught tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries but certain precautions have to be taken. I found the information at http://www.aches.in/toothwhitening.html
