You should merely use the normal toothpaste for kids... it's designed just for them! = )
no, don't use oral-b for kids, it have fluoride in it, and is very noxious if swallowed. There is a warning on the back of that toothpaste along next to all other name brand toothpastes for kids that say don't swallow! it's for kids because it doesn;t burn the mouth with a minty flavor, but has a fruity flavor. Instead, buy a automatic toothpaste. I buy it at my local grocery store. It has a picture of a bird on the front of it. It's usually down below other toothpastes, and contains no fluoride. It is all inherent, and it's safe for your son to eat the entire tube. As for his cavity, it will be more healthier for him in the long run to own an all natural toothpaste. Good luck
You can use a children's toothpaste, check the back for how much fluoride it contains. It's usually surrounded by the range of 200-1000 parts per million of fluoride. If you're still worried about toxicity or fluorosis, ask the dentist if s/he can apply a fluoride varnish to his teeth, or provide a mouthrinse. You should also analyse if there's anything overly sugary or bitter in his diet that's causing caries..
Oral B for kids. Use lone a pea sized amount. He has 5 cavities? What does he get through? Get rid of the juice. If he has individual water or milk available, eventually he will drink it! Also, there is a exotic mouthwash by Listerine available for kids. My 3 year old uses it. When you rinse, it shows if there is any food not here between your teeth after you brush.
There are toothpastes designed for children, so I would try those first. Swallowing toothpaste isn't recommended, but it does ensue -- especially in children. Talk with your dentist because you might know how to use a flouride rinse or a flouride paste that you put on following regular brushing that can be swallowed (I use this with my braces)..
Usually toothpaste for children are ok if ingested as they are formulated because children will swallow toothpaste accidentally. They are often fruit-flavoured and non-toxic. Try Lion animal toothpaste for kids. They come contained by pineapple, strawberry and watermelon flavours and are rather safe.
whats wrong with flouride ,i thought it was dutiful for your teeth?? get him off the liquid hes becoming a big boy now he can have a cup of tea...of a nice milk shake..and dont nouns up the brush you only need a small amount of cement. and make brushing a fun time ,do it together..
