If they hurt, then it is probably a canker sore/ulcer.
If they do not hurt, don't verbs about it in smaller quantity they don't go away within nearly a week or 2, then I suggest you call your doctor.

A canker sore will last up 10 days, it happen when you eat too much fried food such as chip etc. It's like a cold, even if you don't treat it, it would eventually move about away. Patients.
Without more details and an exam of your tongue it is impossible to diagnose for sure. Are you having any torment where these spots are? Sometimes the taste buds bring back inflamed and sore and they can appear white. It's a type of ulceration that will go away.
Are the spots on the tongue or under it?
