I own a root strait around three years ago very soon i enjoy a tooth infection?

the swelling is getting worse i went to my dentist and he gave me some antibotics and backache meds neither one is working the pain is getting worse and the swelling in my frontage is getting worse it's to the point when i lay down i'm in so much pain i can't put away anything to but Jello what should i do he mention something about going to the ER but i really don't think i should

it is wonderful counsel going to the ER. once facial swelling is present, it is out of the dentists hands. facial swelling is a serious thing. if the swelling moves to your throat, it could close up cause you to stop breathing. it also means your infection is in an advanced stage. your dentist might own perscribed your antibiotic and pain meds to help the infection travel down before your doctors appointment. Again, facial swelling is serious, go to the ER..
That is not appropriate advice from a dentist to go to the ER. He is responsible seeing you even after hours if you are have this type of an emergency. THis is a dental emergency which the dentist that performed this procedure is responsible. I would call his department. There is always an after hours emergency contact. (or should be) If he doesn't follow up soon, you need a unsullied dentist. He sounds very unprofessional. He is responsible and possible infection is nothing to play beside. Good luck. Keep calling the office until you get the dentist to ring you back. To not be afraid to become a pest.
