Good morning, your dentist would ask you view questions how impression on that very tooth then run X-ray of your teeth. From there dentist we know if you need root waterway or not to safe your teeth. Good luck.

When you visit a dentist with a toothache, he/she will examine the tooth and ask you question about the type of pain you are have.
Here are a few tests that are used.
Percussion: Tap the tooth gently near the end of the dental mirror and compare it to the feeling to other teeth surrounded by the area.
Cold/Hot test: Apply cold first to several teeth to see if any one react faster than another. Repeat using heated wax.
In general a dying(abscessing) tooth will be less sensitive to cold but more sensitive to grill. Also the percussion of a tooth will hurt quite a lot.
The dentist will also examine the tooth beside an xray to see if signs of infection show up. It usually looks like a dark shadow on the extremity of the root.
Sometimes a dentist will prescribe antibiotics for a week to see if the pain subsides. If the pain go away but returns within the next couple of weeks, the tooth particularly needs a root canal.
Antibiotics can not cure an abscessed tooth, just extraction or root canal..
The do test and things first like xrays etc., they have their ways a short time ago like doctors, but a friend of mine had it and wasn't too satisfied about it, but I think its up to the personage, whether they can take pain or not, and to what height, but they usually use something so you shouldnt feel too much, hope you dont have any affliction and goodluck!
by looking at your xrays.root canal suck the dentist will tell you that you need to "reclaim the tooth" but from experience, what happens is they kill the brass neck and the tooth becomes rotten therefore you hold to remove it. my advise is yank the sucker out and squirrel away the money .r.canals are very expensive and they dont anything for the tooth.
Well a Root Canal Treatment(RCT) is advised if the enamel(hard portion of tooth) is eat away by bacteria and the pulp which is the living potion of the tooth is exposed.a dental surgeon knows if RCT is required by taking x-rays and by doing physical nouns of the tooth
damage to the enamel is caused by the tolerant themselves just because they don't care of their oral hygiene and they do not brush twice a morning
RCT is not painful it all depends on how experienced the doctor is who will get something done it.but the patient usually feels a mild throbbing during the procedure no matter how experienced the doctor is because the pulp has profusely of nerves and its very difficult to sedate adjectives of them.
The Dentist knows by looking at xrays of the roots. Severe throbbing could mean you just hold cavities that need satisfying, or food stuck where it should not be..
OK..when you go to the dentist and your complaint is "i hold a tooth that it very painful, the first entity the dentist is going to do is visually examine the tooth and the surrounding tissue, He will be looking for obvious decay on the tooth and any sign of infection surrounded by the tissue surrounding the tooth. If those areas appear to be clear the next step is to take an Xray..he will be looking for any abnormality and specifically a "dark" shadow at the bottom of the tooth...if he See's the dark shadow, the diagnosis will be an abscess is present and a root canal is the remedy. Good lick and I longing you well.
