How doomed to failure does a root waterway hurt, and what do they do?
What should I expect for pain?

From my experience, the only pain is the initial shot of novacaine to numb the nouns...a sharp pinch (or two). Once the numbness sets in, it is just kinda interesting/weird, as it is more of a jostle of the mouth as they are filing out the root (I found it kinda fun, because I couldn't actually grain anything!). I wouldn't worry too much. Hope that helps.
Undergoing the process of root canal treatment does not hurt. Pain (very short stinging bite) is only feel in the beginning when anesthesia is administered which is close to a 5-10 sec thing. Also sometimes, anesthesia may not be needed if the pulp (nerve) inside the root canal be diagnosed as necrotic (dead). So, depending on the diagnosis of your teeth, you may or may not feel the pain of injection of the anesthesia. So entail not to be scared.
Also, you may feel some muscle discomfort on the jowl area after the procedure because root canal procedure take longer than if your just having a nourishing. so, you need to open your mouth for a longer time of year of time. if you are feeling any discomfort during the procedure for sometime, just inform your dentist/endodontist. so she can pass your mouth a rest..
I work contained by a dental office and I've had a root waterway. It does not hurt! It's just like have a big filling done. Your completely numb and maybe newly a little sore after it wears stale. No big deal! good luck!!
I have a root canal. I asked for a lot of Novocaine and honestly, it be painless. Of course, it helped that the dentist was definitely gorgeous! Naturally, when the Novocaine wears off in that is pain, but it wasn't too bad..
I have my first and hopefully only root canal a few months ago. Basically they extract the audacity. To do this they have to file your tooth down and cut the nerve out of the root. The only things that hurt are the several shots they offer you. I hated it. But if you are in alot of spasm now, getting a root canal will relieve the stomach-ache 100%. Some dentist know how to administer the shots in a less painfull road. Other then that your jaw might be a touch sore from having it open the unbroken time..
I've have a few, most don't hurt but it did once when they drilled down into the gum!
