How do you acquire rid of discoloured teeth?

i have one front tooth which is a darker colour of the others, i noticed this after i have my braces taken off. it's sometimes more sensitive than the other teeth when i drinking something hot or eating something cold. it's really annoying because i notice it and more importantly other ethnic group notice it, is there any way of making that one lighter or equal colour as the others, i tried a whitening toothpaste. that did bugger all. so i need something i can do at home, without going to the dentist. Help!

I don`t know go to the dentist and see what they say, the tooth may be dead... also why dont you try a whitning toothpaste or a tooth join for sensitive teeth, that may get rid of the pain when you eat or drink something hot or cold.

also bicarbonate of soda removed stains on teeth,
damp your toothbrush and dip it in and scrub your teeth with it then rince your mouth, and do this everyday, you should mind a difference after a few days, it tastes horrible(like salt, and i dnt like salt) bt it works brilliant, its cheap to buy and worth it :)

Teeth go dark if they are dead, the correct news is you have feeling contained by it so it is alive. If it does not settle down over time, you could have the tooth capped but a dentist would advise going away alone unless it bothers you cosmeticallty. I have a "dead" tooth in the front which is darker, but it does not bother me.
