Brace assistance?

I recently got my braces on…well I get the bottom ones put on and these spacers on the bottom as well…I don’t really understand what the orthodontist is going to do next as he didn’t really explain…just told me to come to my subsequent appointment which is on the 25th.

Will he be putting spacers on the top next time? Can anyone else tell me in the region of their experience as I’m a little confused?

Thanks

The orthodontist puts spacers in your mouth to prepare your teeth for braces. The spacers move your teeth into the right places so that it will be easier to put the braces on. Dont be surprized if the spacers drip out. Thats good. It just way that your teeth are moving. It your top teeth dont need moving, then he wont put spacers contained by. Dont be afraid to ask your orthodontist what he's doing to your mouth and what will happen next. It's your mouth, and your the one paying for him to do this, you hold a right to know what happening in near too! lol. Good luck with your braces!
By the way, if you can pedal the pain from the spacers, you can handle the braces. I thought spacers be so much more painful than the actuall braces.
